About John "JP" Reagan

JP Reagan brings a diverse background in business, finance, and property investment to his role

as a real estate agent with Scout Real Estate.

A graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, JP began his

career with Dow Chemical Company in Houston, Texas. After several years in the corporate

world, he pursued his passion for finance by completing the Certified Financial Planner

program at Rice University’s Glasscock School of Continuing Studies, earning his

certification and stockbroker’s license.

In 2011, JP founded and operated his own derivatives trading company, where he has

developed a disciplined, analytical approach to market trends and investment opportunities. His

experience in trading naturally evolved into a passion for real estate investing — buying,

renovating, and developing properties in downtown Houston and Detroit.

Beyond urban properties, JP found his true niche in rural real estate — specializing in raw

land, ranches, and barndominium-style homes. His hands-on experience in bringing utilities

to undeveloped land and transforming it into beautiful, functional spaces gives his clients a

unique advantage when buying or selling rural property.

Now, as part of the Scout Real Estate team, JP combines his financial insight, project

management background, and love for the land to help clients discover the true potential in every

property — from city condos to large ranch and farm properties. Based in San Marcos, Texas,

JP proudly serves Austin and the surrounding Hill Country areas.
